Bar chords. Even if it's just mtsurming with just the one finger down, it really pays to get used to the feeling.Also, use your ring finger and pinkie. If you don't get into the habit, now, it'll be way harder later on. A good exercise is playing first finger, first fret, middle finger/second, ring/third, pinkie/fourth, ring/third, middle/second, first/first, and then on the next string. It really builds up the speed, strength, dexterity, and accuracy of your fretting.Good luck, and have fun!Remember that it's when it gets hard or boring that you should play the most.
